User's Manual

This User's Manual is aimed at those persons who see the need to have an effective ICM strategy in place but may not necessarily have the background on how to make this a reality. Therefore practical guidelines are presented with the aim of walking the reader through the process of developing an agricultural institution’s ICM strategy. ICM strategies can vary from institution to institution, depending on institutional needs, however the development process remains the same. An example of an agricultural institution is used as an illustration of the steps of the process. You can adapt the process to your own environment and situation. Concise guidelines are presented to serve as a checklist for the development of ICM strategies for your institution.

• 2 - THE PREPARATION AND PLANNING PROCESS;
• 3 - STRATEGY FORMULATION AND DEVELOPMENT; and
• 4 - IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING AND EVALUATION.
